Grounds and Lake

OUR LARGEST COMMUNITY ASSET - THE LAKE
Lake Woodland is a 52-acre manmade lake. Its useful life will be reduced if rocks, sand, grass clippings, leaves, etc. are put in it without regard for the fact that dredging is impossible. We must respect our lake or lose it.
Pontoon boats and other large boats greater than 12 ft in length without access to a private dock must be docked on the common property located on the west side of the lake. These boats may not be docked at this common property for more than 72 hours.

Please remember that Lake Woodland is a PRIVATE lake. If you notice non-residents that are fishing, boating or using the lake, please feel free to ask them for ID and remind them that it is a private lake. Or, call Eagle Trident Security at 573-6799 and apprise them of the situation.
BOATS, NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS
Please remember that all boats must be registered with new registration decals this fall. This is for boats stored at the common areas and boats moored at private docks. The new decals are easier to read and hopefully will not fade as bad. There are approximately 80 boats stored on the common areas and about half of those are not registered. The Association must identify all boats in case of an accident or if they are found floating in the lake. Only residents are allowed to have boats on the lake. Contact the chairperson for boat registration.
Feel free to remind our neighbors to the south in the Woodlands that their lake, Woodlands Lake, and ours, Woodland Springs Lake, are two different lakes with two different associations. A friendly reminder on rules of access to the lake would be greatly appreciated.
Our friends at the Chinese Community Church have again asked us not to park in their parking lot to access the lake. We continue to have trespassers enter Woodland Springs Lake from their parking lot.
Special thanks to David Litzkow on his efforts regarding the lake, its access, and upkeep. We will miss him. Lake Woodland is a most valuable property resource and it should be protected.
September 2007
The Common Grounds of Woodland Springs are for the use and pleasure of only our residents and guests accompanied by residents. Please care for and respect these areas as you would your own property. Absolutely no motorized vehicles are permitted on the common properties, including the peninsula. There is common property access for launching and recovering boats from the ramp.
January 2007
The addition and updating of the signage at the property line there has been extremely helpful. We do remind all Woodland Springs Residents that the lower parking area of the church is not our property, and parking there is not allowed, except for church business.
Our review of the common grounds near the church, bridge replacement, and walkway issue brought these few reminders to the forefront:
- All lakefront property is not common area grounds, please respect individual homeowners privacy.
- The lakefront/walkway behind the Chinese Community Church does not include or allow any lake usage or fishing rights. * Please insure that if you have a canoe/boat stored at the lake by the clubhouse it is properly registered and secured.
