New Boat Registration
Last fall we began re-registering the over 150 boats on the lake. The old decals were faded and new boats have appeared on the lake without any owner identification. Throughout the boating season, some boats break away from their moorings, or for some other reason we need to identify the boat owner. There is no fee to register a boat, but all boats must be registered by June 1, 2008. Please contact David Litzkow at 818-1281 for a new boat registration decal.
Boats without a registration decal will be removed from the lake after June 1, 2008 .

Woodland Springs Sewer Line Refurbishment Info
As reported in the Indianapolis Star, certain sewer lines in Woodland Springs are to be included in a future project to update aging pipes. We have confirmed that this is not going to be extremely destructive to our streets, the process is relatively internal to the sewer system. The funding for the final project is still in progress, and any such work in our neighborhood is at least 6 to 12 months away. Thank you to John Duffy of Rolling Court for this update. John is the Director of Carmel Utilities, who we called for this information, not even knowing he lived in WS!

Lake and Common Area Update
We would like to offer thanks and appreciation to our friends at the Chinese Community Church at the corner of W. Lakeshore Drive and 116th Street . Our combined community efforts have addressed the occurrences of both trespassing on our property, and vandalism at their property. Since the church property leads all the way to the lakefront, they fully own that walkway, however as good neighbors they do allow us access. Through cooperation we were also able to achieve our goals of replacing the walking bridge, as well as continued consideration to improve their portion of the walking path. Read More... |
Protect your Computer
Several board members and others with a Woodlands Springs email address have been receiving spam and viruses; a very possible cause is that one of your computers with our email addresses has been infected. If you do not have some sort of Virus Protection Software and/or Anti-Spamming Software, please invest a few $$ and install something. Everyone knows what kind of damage a virus can do to a computer, and spreading one around doesn't make you a very popular person. Symantec and McAfee offer great products for a cost. If you don't want to pay, download AVG software. There are several spam blocker programs out there, many of which are free also..SPAMfighter seems to be nice. Note that this author does not guarantee anything, but recommends getting something!! |
