Our Largest Community Asset — The Lake

Lake Woodland is a man-made lake. Its useful life will be reduced if rocks, sand, grass clippings, leaves, etc. are put in it without regard for the fact that dredging is impossible. We must respect our lake or lose it.

Pontoon boats and other large boats greater than 12 ft in length without access to a private dock must be docked on the common property located on the west side of the lake. These boats may not be docked at this common property for more than 72 hours.

Boats, Neighbors and Friends

Please remember that all boats must be registered with new registration decals this fall. This is for boats stored at the common areas and boats moored at private docks. The new decals are easier to read and hopefully will not fade as bad. There are approximately 80 boats stored on the common areas and about half of those are not registered. The Association must identify all boats in case of an accident or if they are found floating in the lake. Only residents are allowed to have boats on the lake. Contact David Litzkow for boat registration, dlitz5@hotmail.com

Feel free to remind our neighbors to the south in the Woodlands that their lake, Woodlands Lake, and ours, Woodland Springs Lake, are two different lakes with two different associations. A friendly reminder on rules of access to the lake would be greatly appreciated.

Our friends at the Chinese Community Church have again asked us not to park in their parking lot to access the lake. We continue to have trespassers enter Woodland Springs Lake from their parking lot.
