Board News

•  The board is evaluating the possibility of restoring the island back to native prairie grasses and flowers. The restoration being developed for consideration involves input from several groups that specialize in nature preservation and restoration. A restored island would have walking trails through it and would provide natural habitat for threatened song birds. In addition, it would discourage the Canada geese from settling in our area while also reducing the ongoing mowing costs currently required to keep the grass cut. If you would like to provide input, please contact Todd.

•  We know that several of our residents move to warmer climates during the winter. During those periods we have found that mail from Woodland Springs is often not forwarded properly. This includes newsletters, meeting notices and dues notices. If you would please provide us with a mailing address for you during the winter, we will make sure that neighborhood correspondence is sent directly to this address during the period. You can either send us a letter to P.O. Box 171, Carmel, IN 46032-0171 or send an email to Michelle.

•  Please note that our website contains many useful links to community information websites such as Carmel Clay Schools, Woodbrook Elementary School, Forest Dale Elementary School, Clay Junior High School, Carmel High School, the City of Carmel, Carmel Clay Parks and Hamilton County Government, as well as our local professional sports clubs!

•  If you are new to the neighborhood, or have updated contact information and wish to receive e-mail notifications of news and events, please send your contact info to Matt. You can also fill out the form to update the information here.

Are you new to the neighborhood and want to get involved? Have you lived in Woodland Springs for a few years and enjoy all that we have to offer? Are you retired and want to use those great skills you have mastered? Do you have great ideas for improving our neighborhood? If one of these fit, please consider joining the Woodland Springs Board. We presently have three positions open. Your commitment would be to attend 8 – 10 short (we keep them to an hour) board meetings a year and contribute to our goal of continuous improvement. Specific duties are agreed to among board members after our annual meeting. One of the three positions is treasurer. If you have specific skills in accounting and finance, we really could use your help.

Voting occurs at our annual meeting. If you are interested in contributing, please email or call any board member for additional information.
