Music by John Anderson
John Anderson, fellow Woodland Springs Resident, has served since 2001 as director of Lilly Corporation's smooth jazz band ("Friends of Friends") that performs for Lilly corporate events, special occasions and staff holiday parties (offsite). Outside of Lilly John is brought in for occasions (private parties, small to medium sized corporate events) and perform as an individual performer providing smooth instrumental guitar and/or vocal background music. He also can bring in other musicians including bass, percussion, keys, a great female singer, and other players as the need arises.
Over the years John has performed or directed in various contexts to help people celebrate events, worship, relax and just enjoy some tunes - instrumentals or vocals or both. He combines pop, jazz, classical, Latin, smooth/slippy-slidy R&B and other styles.
He also can partner and coordinate with other musicians to create a unique blend of styles and sounds to suit the occasion, especially relaxing backgrounds (e.g. dining, pre-wedding receptions, holiday parties, general social gatherings, liturgical events, art shows, social gatherings).
