Woodland Springs Fireworks 2018- Hosted by the Pages

Grab your lawn chairs and bug spray and join your neighbors around the lake to enjoy the show!

Note from Jenny Page:

Hello, Neighbors! 😃 It is that time of the year again! We know how many of you plan your parties around our Fireworks Show, so, thought I would get this out. We are planning to shoot our Fireworks on Wednesday, July 4th, with Thursday, July 5th as our rain date. Sunset on the 4th is listed as 9:17pm. We usually shoot shortly thereafter, once it gets dark enough. Hope everyone is as excited as we are! Please remember, if you will be boating for the Show, please stay south of our property (address below). Most of you know how large our Fireworks are and we have had to delay our Show for the last three years due to boats, canoes, swimmers, etc., that were too close to our firing area. We simply want everyone to be out of harm's way. Safety first. Let's hope for sunny, clear skies!

Message from Pool Director:
Once again Aquatic management has been secured to staff and maintain our facility. This will be at least the 4th season they have helped us keep our aging pool open daily for our collective enjoyment.
Please take some time
this summer to get to know our lifeguards as this will help them serve us best.

Please review the following information regarding our pool:

  • Please bear in mind the lifeguards responsibilities for mandatory closures for weather conditions. I will continue to work closely with staff to ensure these are as short as is safe and communicated via Nextdoor if possible. If gate is closed pool closed, gate open then pool open.
  • The pool will be closed early for a few evenings for home swim meets, usually around 4pm. Dates of meets to be posted soon on nextdoor and will also be posted at the pool in advance of the meet so you can plan your evenings accordingly. The pool is never closed for private parties during regular pool hours even if the club house is rented.
  • Please contact me if you have questions about renting the pool for after hours parties 9pm- midnight ( club house rental required , contact Gretchen Johnson ). Additional fees for lifeguard staffing and a two week notice is required.
  • The Woodlands Springs Pool is a private facility for the exclusive use and enjoyment of residence. If you have concerns regarding this matter please let a lifeguard know or contact me directly as needed.

Q&A Session: Proposed Budget & Capital Reserve Study Findings

The board will be hosting a Q&A session for homeowners to review findings from our 2013 Capital Reserve Study and the proposed budget for 2015 and beyond.

One of the most important responsibilities of your volunteer board is to make sure that funds are available when the association's major assets (lake, pool, clubhouse, tennis courts, common properties, etc.) need to be maintained, repaired or replaced.

About the Capital Reserve Study

In 2013, the board retained an independent consultant, Comer and Associates, to perform a reserve study designed to:

  • Analyze the association’s finances
  • Inventory and inspect our major assets
  • Develop a capital plan to predict future repair/replacement schedules and estimate the cash flows that will be needed and available to the association during each of the next 20 years
